University of Sussex is public research university that is located in Falmer, Sussex. It is near Brighton. Sussex has students from around 120 countries. Almost a quarter of Sussex’s students are international. It also employes academic staff from more than 50 countries.  It maintains good link with several research universities, such as: California, Harvard, Georgetown, Yale, Pennsylvania, Toronto and Paris-Sorbonne. The affiliation between University of Sussex and University of Brighton creates Brighton and Sussex Medical School. It received its licence in 2002. It was opened in 2003.

The university has several student media. Its Union’s weekly newspaper named The Badge.The newspaper is designed and written by the students. The university operates student television channel named UniTV. It was launched in 2010. It is NaSTA’s member. The university also has student radio station named University Radio Falmer. In 2008, it won a bronze award from United Kingdom Student Radio Awards. In the evening, it provides a variety of genre programming.

The University competes in several sports, like: football, basketball, badminton, volleyball, netball, Tennis, swimming, fencing, snowboarding, kickboxing, sport aikido, etc. It has women’s and men’s teams.
