University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNC Asheville or UNCA) is a coeducational and public liberal arts university in Asheville, Buncombe County, in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It is the only designated liberal arts institution in the University of North Carolina system. It is the member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges.
University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNC Asheville or UNCA) has more than 215 full-time faculty members and an enrollment of approximately 3600 students. It offers thirty-six baccalaureate programs and a master’s degree in liberal arts and sciences.
This university has a point interest, it is Botanical Gardens. It is also known as the Asheville Botanical gardens, are non-profit botanical gardens. The gardens are open daily with free admission, though donations are welcome. The gardens were established in 1961 on eroded, abandoned timberland. At that time, more than 5000 plants were transplanted into the garden from private lands and national forests.
