‘Science, Arts, Industry’ is the motto of University of New Hampshire (UNH). It is also a public research university in the University System of New Hampshire (USNH) in United States. It was founded and incorporated in 1866, as a land grant college in Hannover in connection with Dartmouth College. UNH moved to Durham in 1893. This university is one of only nine land, sea, and space grant institutions in the nation. It was one of 15 highest scoring schools on the College Sustainability Report Card 2009, with the Sustainable Endowments Institute awarding it a grade of “A”.
University of New Hampshire (UNH) has two separated campuses, they are Durham campus that comprises six colleges and located in the Seacoast region of the state; Manchester campus is a seventh campus that occupies the university’s campus in Manchester, the largest campus. There is university library that consists of the main Dimond Library and three science libraries specializing in chemistry, physics, and computer science, mathematics, and engineering.
