The University of New Brunswick has some campuses that are located at Fredericton and Saint John. It is one of the oldest English language universities in North America. It is often abbreviated as UNB. Its original campus was established Fredericton in 1785. In 1964, it opened a campus in Saint John. It has 2 satellite campuses that are situated in Bathurst and Moncton.It also has 2 offices in Beijing and Caribbean. The university provides more than 75 degrees in 14 faculties. It also provided the first engineering program of university-level in Canada that was founded in 1855. Its first engineers were graduated in 1857.

Several of the campus buildings are designed by G. Ernest Fairweather. Robert McCausland Limited made some stained glass windows in its Convocation Hall. War Memorial Hall in Fredericton is commonly referred to Memorial Hall. Previously, it was built in 1924 as a science building. It honours the UNB Alumni who passed away in World War I. In Fredericton campus there is also The Gregg Centre that was built in 2006.
