The University of Cambridge is often abbreviated as Cantab. It is also called as Cambridge University. It is one of collegiate public research universities in UK that is located in Cambridge. It was founded in 1209. It is the second oldest university with English-speaking world. Oxford and Cambridge is the two anchient universities that are often reffered as “Oxbridge”. The university is divided into several locations. The main locations are: Downing Site, Old Addenbroke’s, Madingley/Girton, New Museums Site, Old Schools, Sidgwick Site, West Cambridge, Silver Street/Mill Lane, and Addenbrooke’s. Cambridge is created from many institutions that include 31 constituent colleges and more than100 academic departments that are organised into 6 schools. The six schools are: Biological Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Humanities and Social Sciences, Physical Sciences, Clinical Medicine, and Technology. Cambridge operates eight cultural, scientific, and arts museums. In 2014–2015, according to URAP, Cambridge is ranked second in the United Kingdom.
