University of Alabama System is public university system in Alabama. It was first established in 1969 after the University of Alabama expanded. Overall, it has over 3500 academic staffs, over 43000 students of undergraduates, and over 13000 students of postgraduates in bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees. Those great numbers of students is from three campuses in Birmingham (UAB) that is established in 1936, Huntsville (UAH) established in 1950, and Tuscaloosa (UA) established in 1831. More than 30000 students are from UA, 18000 from UAB, and 7600 in UAH. All of those students study in three universities placed in different areas. However, all of those campuses or universities are located in Alabama, United States. Therefore, this university system is able to reach $1.23 billion of endowment. The operations of this university system are located in UAB health system including for appropriations, fee, contracts and grants, and revenue programs. However, all of those are managed under UAS office.
