Université de Saint-Boniface is located in the province of Manitoba. Precisely, it is sited in 200 Avenue de la Cathedrale (the heart of Winnipeg’s green). It is next to St. Boniface Hospital and St. Boniface Cathedral. It is often abbreviated as USB. It provides general programs, specialized programs, technical and professional training. It has various students from Canada and several different countries. The university is the only one Western Canada’s French-language university. It was founded by Father Norbert Provencher. The Research Centre of USB was established in 1985. It houses CEFCO, PUSB, CRCMI and ARUC-IFO.
The university has Continuing Education Division that offers a range of courses in a number of areas. The annual enrolment Continuing Education Division is more than 5,000 students. There are Spanish and French courses in Language School. Language School also provides instructional material for teaching French as an additional language or a first.
The university’s building houses Sportex fitness centre, gymnasiums, chapel, library, Étienne Gaboury student centre, amphitheatre, campus radio station, computer facilities, art gallery and performance hall.
