Swansea University is public research university that is situated in Swansea, Wales, UK. It offers around 330 courses for undergraduate and 120 courses for post-graduate. It has more than 14,800 students. It was the first campus university in United Kingdom in 1948.
It has 2 campuses that are sited at the north of Swansea Bay. The campuses are Singleton Park Campus and Bay Campus.
- Singleton Park campus houses the colleges of Human & Health Sciences, Arts & Humanities, Science, Law and Medicine. It also comprises Taliesin Arts Centre.
- Bay Campus was opened in 2015. It houses the College of Engineering, School of Management, a library and Great Hall auditorium.
The main Library Information Centre of the university is located on the Singleton campus. It has more than 800,000 books and periodicals, as well as 23,000 electronic journals. There are more than 1,000 study spaces. About a half of the spaces are completed with networked PCs.
