Newman University is public university that is located in Birmingham, England. It was established as Newman College of Higher Education in 1968. In 2008, it was called as Newman University College. In 2013, it got full university status. Complete University Guide atated that Newman University is the fourth of five most highly ranked universities in Birmingham.

The university is sited in Bartley Green. It is about 8 miles in the south-west of the city centre. There is St Mary’s Chapel is situated at the heart of campus. It serves place for religious exercise. The university is a Catholic institution, but it welcomes staff and students from any religions.

The university serves many degree programmes for undergraduate and postgraduate. There are several subject areas, such as: Education Studies, Creative Writing, Drama, Counselling, Management Studies, English, History, Criminology, Ancient history, etc. The campus has several artworks, including ‘The Globe’ that is created by Planet Art.
