New Mexico State University (NMSU) is a major public, research university, and land-grant in Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States. It is categorized as the oldest public institution of higher education in the state of New Mexico and as the second largest four-year university in the state. In the beginning, it was founded to teach agriculture in 1888 as the Las Cruces College and the following year became New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts.
New Mexico State University (NMSU) is the land grant university of the state of New Mexico. It offers a wide variety of programs through the Graduate School and the colleges (Agricultural, Arts and Sciences, Consumer and Environmental Sciences, Business, Education, and some others). It has multiple students organizations (several religious organizations) including The Christian Challenge-BSU. The Associated Students of this University is the student government and it is a departmental organization. This university is one of the important school in New Mexico.
