London Metropolitan University is public research univ ersity that is located in London. It is usually known as London Met. It was created by joining University of North London and London Guildhall University on 1st August 2002. The university has campuses, museum, library, and archives. The campuses are located in the City of London and London Borough of Islington. The main campus is located at Holloway, Islington. There are some small campuses at Moorgate and Aldgate, the City of London. Aldgate comprises Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture & Design. Moorgate houses the London Guildhall Faculty of Business &Law.
The University has 4 faculties that are subdivided into several schools. The faculties are: Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture & Design; Guildhall Faculty of Business & Law; Faculty of Life Sciences & Computing; and Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities.
The university has a Science Centre that was opened in October 2006. It is completed with super lab that is claimed as the part of the most advanced science teaching facility in Europe.
