Francis Marion University is a state that supported liberal arts university located 11 km east of Florence, South Carolina, United States. It is located on 162 ha tract of land which included in a grant by the King of England and later made a cotton plantation by the Wallace Family. Actually it is situated 9.7 km east of Florence. Named Francis Marion College for General Francis Marion who served in the American Revolutionary War, it became a university in 1992. The university archives are saved in the James A. Rogers Library. These digital collections begin with the college yearbooks.
Francis Marion University offers five undergraduate degrees: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of General Studies, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Students can choose to major in art education, accounting, business economics, chemistry, computer science, history, physics and many more. There is also graduate degrees include the Master of Arts in Teaching, Education, Science in Applied Psychology, and Specialist in School Psychology. All master’s degree programs are accredited by the respective professional organizations.
