Carleton University is a public and comprehensive university that located in the capital of Canada, Ottawa, Ontario. The motto of this university is “Ours the Task Eternal”. It is reputed for its strength in a variety of fields, such as engineering, industrial design, humanities, international business and many of the disciplines housed in its Faculty of Public Affairs. It offers more than 65 academic programs across a wide range of disciplines. It is represented in Canadian Interuniversity Sport by the Carleton Ravens.

Carleton University has two resource centers: an Audio Visual Resource Center and a European and Russian Studies resource center. The others are the Herzberg Laboratories, Life Sciences Research Building, H.H.J. Nesbitt Biology Building, National Wildlife Research Center, and Social Sciences Research Building.

This university has joined Project Hero, a scholarship program co-founded by General Rick Hiller for the families of fallen Canadian forces members. The other scholarships are for Aboriginal, Fisrt nations, Metis & Inuit students include the Gordon Robertson National Inuit Scholarship.
