Canterbury Christ Church University is often abbreviated as CCCU. It is an Anglican new university that is located in Canterbury, Kent. In 1962, it was founded as a Church of England college. In 2012, it has developed to full university status in 1962. It has celebrated the 53th anniversary in 2015. In 1995, Privy Council gave this college an authority to grant its own degrees for taught courses. At recent, it has more than 20,000 sttudents. Canterbury Christ Church is organized into four academic faculties, such as: Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Faculty of Health and Wellbeing, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences.
- Faculty of Arts and Humanities teaches many studies, such as: English and language studies, art, history and American studies, music, media (theoretical and practical), theology and religious studies.
- Faculty of Education carries postgraduate and undergraduate primary teacher education programmes. The programmes include full-time, part-time, and work-based learning.
