Brandon University is a university that is situated in the city of Brandon. It was established as Brandon College in 1899. It got university status in 1967. It has Education Building that was opened in 1967. There is also Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium that was opened in 1969.
The university is structured into several faculties, schools and research centers, like: Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Graduate Studies, Faculty of Science, School of Health Studies, School of Music and research centers. They are divided into some divisions.
The university has some facilities for the departments of geography, physics, chemistry, zoology, psychology, botany, geology, and mathematic. Its sports teams are named the Brandon Bobcats. Its sports teams compete in basketball and volley, both men and women. Its students’ union is named BUSU. It is the member of Canadian Federation of Students. It is lead by President, Vice President External and Vice President Internal.
