Bluefield State College is public with historically black college. Although stated as black college in its history, it has almost 90% white people. The black is about 12%, Hispanic 0,9%, and Asian 0,5%. The students are divided in 61% female and 39% male. Located in Bluefield, West Virginia, USA, this college was established in 1895. It had three former names from the first established until 1943 and now becomes Bluefield State College. The campuses are in Bluefield, Lewisburg, Beckley, Summersville, and West Virginia. Its motto is making education possible. As a part of West Virginia education system, this college offers associate and baccalaureate degrees. Bluefield State College is the only non-residential four year education with separately administers. By this way, it is able to conduct classes till southeastern. Besides as a part of West Virginia education system, it is also one member of Thurgood Marshall College Fund. The programs offered are such as engineering, business, technologies, art, educations, sciences, health, and nursing professions.
