Abertay University is a public university at Dundee, Scotland. The university colors are Red, Blue, Gold and Green. It was the first university that offers computer games degree and Ethical Hacking & Countermeasures degree. It was created in 1994 with the name of University of Abertay Dundee. In 2004, the university promoted itself as Abertay University. There are four teaching Schools, such as: School of Science, Engineering and Technology, School of Social & Health Sciences and Dundee Business School. Research at this University is organised into four main themes, such as Society, Security, Environment, and Creative Industries. Abertay has strong link with some industrial partners, such as: Microsoft, BSkyB, Codemasters, Channel4, Blitz Games Studios, BBC Vision, etc. In 2005, the university opened student centre building located at Bell Street.  There are art gallery, student bars, food, retail trading outlets, and cinema.
