University of Northampton is a university that is located in Northampton, Northamptonshire. It was established in 1999. It got university status in 2005. In 2011, it gained the Ecocampus Silver award. It has several types of halls of residence that are spread in both campuses. There are more than 1,600 rooms. Most of the students live in the hall. The main halls are William Carey, John Clare, Spencer Perceval, Charles Bradlaugh, Simon Senlis, and Margaret Bondfield.
The university is structured into 6 schools, such as: Education; Business; Arts; Social Sciences; Health; and Science & Technology. It has two locations: Park Campus and Avenue Campus. It has more than 15,000 students that spread over its two campuses.
Park Campus is located in the northern suburb and Avenue Campus is located in north of town centre. On Park Campus, there are several facilities, such as; Central Park, NN2, karaoke, quiz nights, bar and food outlet. On Avenue Campus there is Union building that has been refurbished. It homes radio station and the Union’s newspaper. It also has a bar. It often hosts live music, bingo nights, and stand-up comedy.
