The University of New Brunswick is public university that has campuses in Fredericton and Saint John. It is also abbreviated as UNB. The original campus of the university was founded in Fredericton in 1785. It is known for the colourful fall foliage and the buildings of Georgian style red-brick. Currently this campus has around 9,000 students. The second campus was opened in 1964 in Saint John. The university also has 2 small satellite campuses that are situated in Bathurst and Moncton. This university houses over sixty research centers and institutes. It holds around 75% percent of all researches of the university in the province. It was ranked as 4th countrywide by Maclean’s magazine in 2013. The law school of the university was also ranked second nationally in 2012 by Maclean’s. As said by Canadian Lawyer Magazine, its Law school was ranked between the top 5 in Canada. Every year, the university awards over $5 million in scholarships. UNB has around 3,100 ha in several sites.
