University of Glamorgan, Cardiff, Trefforest, and Glyntaffwas a public university that active in period 1913-2013. John Morris was the Chancellor and Julie Lydon was the Vice-Chancellor. It was based in South Wales prior to the merger with University of Wales, Newport that formed the University of South Wales in April 2013. It had four faculties and was the only university which had no link with the University of Wales.
University of Glamorgan, Cardiff, Trefforest, and Glyntaff had several campuses. It could be started from Trefforest, which was the main campus played host the bulk of academic departments and facilities such as the indoor sports centre and students union. Glyntaff where housed the Faculty of Health, Sport, and Science. MerthyrTydfil where focused on delivering Further Education rather than Higher Education. Tyn y Wern was home to the new Glamorgan Sport Park. The last was Atrium where The Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries.
