University of Alaska Anchorage was established in 1954 with former name called Anchorage Community College in 1954 to 1971 and Anchorage Senior College in 1971 to 1977. Later until now, this university is named into University of Alaska Anchorage. It is public university located in urban area in Anchorage, Alaska, United States. It has 20.000 students, 16500 students from Anchorage campus and more than 3000 students from community campuses that spread till south Alaska. The students are from professional, graduates, and undergraduates degrees. The students come from six units of teaching. Those units are engineering, technical college, business and public policy, arts and sciences, health, and education. The master degrees and graduate certificates are also offered. Some students also have the opportunity to complete several PhD programs in graduate divisions. Therefore, in 2012, on May, this university is able to has accreditation in doctoral degrees. It was accredited by Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
