The University of Houston System has four distinct universities. Located in Texas, it is a state university system.  The University of Houston System also holds and owns licenses of broadcasting for one station of public television and two stations of public radio. It has over 67,000 students so it is called as the fourth largest university system in Texas. The University of Houston System has four separate universities and distinct institutions. The flagship of this institution is in University of Houston. It has about 41,000 students with comprehensive doctoral degree as a research university. The University of Houston System impacts over $3 billion for Texas economy because it generates about 24,000 jobs for people. The administration is located in the Building of Ezekiel W. Cullen on the University of Houston campus. The three other university institutions in this System are stand alone universities. It means that they are not branch or part of University of Houston campuses.
