Rowan University was founded in 1923 as Glassboro Normal School on a twenty-five acre site donated by the town. It is categorized as a public university in Glassboro, New Jersey, United States with a satellite campus in Camden, New Jersey. The college was one of the first in the country to begin programs for teachers for reading disabilities and physical therapy in 1935 and 1944.
Rowan University is divided into 13 units, they are College of Education, College of Communication & Creative Arts, College of Health Sciences, College of Humanities & Social Sciences, College of Science & Mathematics, Global Learning and Partnerships, and others.
This university has Chamberlain Student Center that the main location for dining on campus. It is also the home to the Student Government Association, Conference and Event Services, and other events. There are also three main publications on this Rowan’s campus; they are The Whit, The Venue, and the Avant. All of them are the literary developments.
