Prairie View A&M University, is a part of the Texas A&M University System . This university is located in Prairie View, Texas, United States (northwest of Houston).  It offers degrees of baccalaureate in 50 academic majors, 37 master’s degrees and four degree of doctoral programs in nine colleges and schools. It is one of the Texas’ land grant universities and it has ranks two in the nation on CollegeNet’s Social Mobility Index 2015 ranking of college.  This University is a part of school of Thurgood Marshall College Fund. It sits on a 1,440-acre (5.8 km2) campus in Prairie View, Texas and 47.4 miles (76.3 km) from the city hall of Houston, Texas. Affectionately, it is often called as “The Hill”.
