Midwestern State University is a liberal arts public college located in Wichita Falls. It had more than 6,000 students in 2015. In Texas, this university is independent public university with a state public university system. It was established in 1922 with the former name as Wichita Falls Junior College. In 1937, this university was renamed becoming Hardin Junior College and moved in now location.Senior division in this university was added on January 1950 that made this university renamed again became Midwestern University. With its development, it became a part of Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. There are many organizations in this campus. They are around over one hundred organizations. They are such as ACM or Association for Computing Machinery, the musical organizations, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and sports clubs. There is also facility published by its own students called as campus newspaper. It is The Wichitan. Besides, it has its own television channel and production studio run by its students.
