Keele University is also known as University of Keele. It is public research university that is sited around three miles from Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire. It is near to the village of Keele. It got university status in 1962 by Royal Charter. Previously, it was established as the University College of North Staffordshire in 1949. Its main campus has 5 halls of residence, such as: Lindsay, Barnes, the Oaks, Horwood, and Holly Cross. The halls serve the accommodation for around 70% of the full-time students. Most first year and international students occupy on-campus accommodation.

This university is structured into three faculties, such as: Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, Faculty of Health, and Faculty of Natural Sciences. Each faculty consists of several schools. It has a conference centre and Science Park. According to 2015 National Student Survey, the students of Keel University were ranked the first in the United Kingdom regarding the student satisfaction.
