Florida A & M University is one of the universities that get ranked third of all universities and colleges in the nation to fostering social and economic opportunity by SMI (Social Mobility Index). Which makes this university is different from other universities is the legacy in providing access to high quality and affordable education for their students in order to provide the widest possible opportunity to realize their dreams in getting a college degree. The University offers many courses and degree options ranging from 54 bachelor’s degrees, 29 master’s degrees, 12 doctoral programs, and 3 professional degrees. Among the many courses offered, there are a number of which became popular as biology, business administration, allied health, and criminal justice. We will also find several options of different programs when compared to other universities such as jazz studies, management, journalism and health informatics, and cardiopulmonary sciences. The main campus is located in Tallahassee and several satellite campuses, including those in Miami, Jacksonville, Tampa, and Crestview. There are 13 patents owned by the Florida A & M University where FAMU has the only national pharmacy colleges that offer degree programs DrPH and nationally accredited MPH.
