East Carolina University (ECU) is a doctoral/research university in Greenville, North Carolina, United States. It is the third-largest in North Carolina. It was founded on March 8, 1907 as a teacher training school,East Carolina has grown from 17 ha to almost 647 ha today. It has academic facilities that located on four properties: Main Campus, Health Sciences Campus, West Research Campus, and the Field Station for Coastal Studies in New Holland, North Carolina.

It offers 16 doctoral degree programs, 4 first professional degree programs, 76 master’s degree programs, and 102 bachelor’s degree programs.
