City College of New Yorkis a college that includes senior college of the City University of New York (CUNY) in New York City. It is located between West and West 141st Streets in Manhattan. It is included the oldest of 24 institutions in City University of higher learning. It is the first public institution that free of higher education in the United States and founded as the free academy in 1847 of the City of New York. And also, it will provide children of immigrants and poor access to free higher education based on academic merit alone. In fall 2000, City College of New Yorkbegins recruitment the students for the university Scholar Program. In 1906, it moved location in the upper Manhattan village of Manhattanville. There are organized into five schools plus The Macaulay Honors College. The five schools are The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, The Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture, The School of Education, The Grove School of Engineering, and The Sophie B. Davis School of Biomedical Education.
