Bangor University is a university in Bangor that got the Royal Charter in 1885. On 18 October 1884, it was founded as University College of North Wales (UCNW). Then, this university was also known as University of Wales. In September 2007, it became independent from federal University of Wales and then known as Bangor University. The students who started before 2009 were given an option to get University of Wales Bangor or Bangor University for their degree certificate. While the students who starting after 2009 achieved Bangor University degree for their certificate. The University has five Colleges that are broken down into some Schools and Research Institutes. The collages are: College of Arts and Humanities, College of Business, Law, Education and Social Sciences, College of Natural Sciences, College of Health and Behavioural Sciences, and College of Physical and Applied Sciences.
